We got to trying out the Vehicle to Load (V 2 L) facility of our BYD ATTO 3 this morning. The local Garden Club, of which Lorraine is a member, is having their October meeting down by the river side, the Burnett River, which flows through Gayndah. She wondered how the ladies will have their usual servings of coffee and decided that our car would make that possible.
So we rounded up a table and set it up beside the car’s charging point and filled our electric kettle with 1.5 litres of water. We collected the extension from the boot and plugged it in. It was all very simple. Immediately it was plugged in the kettle started doing its job and within a couple of minutes, the water was boiled. Didn’t have to have the car switched on or anything, it just worked. Check out from the photos below to see how much electricity it took to boil that water.
The local Garden Club, of which Lorraine is a member had its recent regular meeting down by the riverside. The October meeting was cancelled because of rain but the November meeting eventuated. All of the members, most of whom are elderly, took their thermos flasks full of hot water for their morning coffee to be consumed during the meeting. Lorraine took her car and an electric kettle which she plugged into the V2L facility of the car and made her coffee on the spot. As you can see, several of the members joined in, all quite amazed.
