Gayndah to Adelaide in a BYD Atto 3 EV
We have been in Adelaide with family for the past 10 days and it is time now to travel on to family in Canberra. We have had a great time in Adelaide mostly doing things we can’t do in Gayndah. First of all there is shopping at a large shopping centre. Westfield at Marion fitted the bill well and we had a number of visits there including a visit to the movies with the grand kids to see Black Panther.
Lorraine had a gift card to spend at Marion so we made several trips there for her to make up her mind. She spent some time in Myers looking at dresses but decided she needed a new vacuum cleaner more than a dress (where would you wear it in Gayndah?) so we went to the vacuum cleaner place and bought one that washes and cleans the floor all in one. Good choice I reckon.
Although we didn’t plan it this way we joined a group of German tourists from a cruise ship at Cleland Wildlife Park. A pleasant afternoon it was viewing up close a range of Australian Animals.
another day we visited the South Australian Aviation Museum which was very impressive. You could get up close and personal with the like a F-111 and a an FA-18 and many more aircraft that have been retired from the RAAF. A very impressive.
Then it was on to the Space Centre at the UNISA. Not as impressive as the other sites but worth the visit.
The first night out of Gayndah my iPad died ( I have had to use my iPhone to write up these web pages, not very convenient to say the least) and one of the first things I did on arriving in Adelaide was take it to a place which promised they could fix it. It turns out they couldn’t so I have to get another one some how. Not in our plans but something will happen in Canberra.
