Above – the Glen Innes NRMA charger hiding behind’s me the town hall
Tenterfield
Woke up to a cool morning in Tenterfield and left at 7.40am with 80% charge.
Glen Innes
Arrived in Glen Innes 9am and went looking for the NRMA charger. It was hiding behind the town hall. Once found we plugged in and went for a walk along the “historic” Main Street. It was quite cool, in fact cool enough to need a sweater for the walk. We charged to 100% so we could check how much charge we would need to cover close to 300km. Left Glen Innes at around 10am.
Gunnedah
The distance from Glen Innes to Gunnedah worked out to be about 280Ks. So it seemed reasonable to see how much of the battery would be used for that distance. We set the speed at 90kph rather that 100. We didn’t seem to hold too many vehicles. Lorraine drove all the way. It started off quite cool so we didn’t need air con. But as time went on it got quite warm, into the low 30s so air con was switched on.
When we arrived the NRMA charger here in Gunalda was used by a red Tesla Model 3 that was fully charged but the owners were not there. We went and found a KFC and had some lunch. By the time we got back the Tesla was still plugged and nobody about. In the mean time another Red Tesla also waiting to charge. He was in a bit of a hurry so we decided to come and check into the caravan park. We did that and went back and charged up to 100% ready for them tomorrow.
